CED Buys Sun Valley Electric

Las Vegas-based Sun Valley adds locations in Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, North Dakota and Utah.

Electrical Marketing confirmed that Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED), Irving, TX, recently purchased Sun Valley Electric Supply, Las Vegas, NV. The company is ranked #111 on Electrical Wholesaling’s 2019 listing of the Top 200  electrical distributors, with 75 employees and six locations in Las Vegas, Hobbs, NM; Pecos and Odessa, TX; Williston, ND; and Salt Lake City, UT.

The company targets an interesting mix of commercial, industrial, residential and energy business and has several branches servicing some of the nations largest oil & gas regions — the Permian Basin in Texas and Bakken region in North Dakota.  It has also been involved in some  large commercial projects, including the NFL Raiders Stadium, Bally’s Casino and Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas and Salt Lake City’s airport expansion.

In other news at CED, the company’s GreenTech division recently signed a lease for 10,800 square feet in  El Paso, TX. According to a post at www.connect.media.com, the branch will be CED Greentech’s first solar location in the El Paso market.
