Western Extralite Expands Salina Location to Host Distribution Center

Western Extralite, Kansas City, Mo., is expanding its Salina, Kan., location by doubling the staff and quadrupling the inventory investment to make it a regional distribution hub for its central Kansas markets.

The Salina location, which opened in 2009, will now serve as a hub for supplying electrical and datacom products to central Kansas cities including Wichita, Manhattan, McPherson, Hutchinson, Newton, El Dorado, Abilene, Beloit, Concordia and Hays. The Salina location delivers to customers within a 75 mile radius on a daily basis.

Extralite has boosted inventory at the 30,000 sq ft location from $250,000 to $1 million in products and added six new employees, doubling the staff at the location.
