Grainger enjoys 8% monthly sales increase in April

W.W. Grainger Inc., Lake Forest, Ill., saw its daily sales increase 8% last month percent versus April 2012. The increase included three percentage points from volume; 2 percentage points from price; 2 percentage points from acquisitions; and 2 percentage points from the timing of the Easter holiday, partially offset by a 1 percentage point decline from foreign exchange.  Canada’s April sales were up 7%.
