NEMRA To Search For Bergson Successor

The National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (NEMRA), Tarrytown, N.Y., has initiated a search for a qualified individual to succeed Henry P. Bergson as president and CEO of the association. Bergson is scheduled to step down from his position in the fall of 2008

The National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (NEMRA), Tarrytown, N.Y., has initiated a search for a qualified individual to succeed Henry P. Bergson as president and CEO of the association. Bergson is scheduled to step down from his position in the fall of 2008.

The successful candidate will be a leader who has a proven record in senior leadership positions within the electrical industry or with association management. Outstanding communication and relationship skills with a solid working knowledge of financial management and strategic planning, as well as strong business development and board relations’ experience are essential.

The position requires reporting to the NEMRA board of directors with the following principal leadership accountabilities:

• Creating a shared vision and executing the NEMRA board of directors’ strategic plan
• Representative advocacy
• Member service/Programs
• Association management and operations, including fiscal accountability
• Managing external industry relationships with NAED, NEMA, etc.

A search committee has been formed to facilitate the search for this position. In addition, NEMRA has retained the services of the Farmington Consulting Group (FCG) to lead this search.
