United Electric Supply Co. Inc. (New Castle, Del.): The company has made the following key management appointments. Rick Freebery has been named V.P.

United Electric Supply Co. Inc. (New Castle, Del.): The company has made the following key management appointments. Rick Freebery has been named V.P. of vendor and new services development and will be responsible for vendor planning, charging for unique services, margin improvement and managing the company's IMARK relationship, and Pat Melvin has been named V.P. of sales-Delaware Valley Region, with responsibility for Wilmington, Del., Lancaster, Hanover, Langhorne, and Huntington Valley, Pa.; and Vineland, N.J.

The regional management changes are as follows: Mike Deneault has been named sales manager for the Chesapeake and Greater Baltimore Districts effective Jan. 1, 2012; Mike Caloway, currently regional operations manager for the Delmarva Peninsula, is now also district sales manager-Delmarva Peninsula; Don Edwards has been named regional operations manager for Rockville, Baltimore, and Aberdeen, Md.; Pat McFarland has been named regional operations manager for Wilmington, Lancaster and Hanover; and Chris Lind has been named regional operations manager for Waldorf and Beltsville, Md., and Alexandria, Va.

A.L.P. Lighting Components Inc. (Niles, Ill.): The lighting manufacturer has made several appointments to its executive team. Steve Dix, a 16-year-company veteran, is now V.P. of distribution sales and logistics after serving as V.P. and business unit manager for plastics. In his new role, Dix will be responsible for growing A.L.P.'s Master Distribution program, as well as redefining the organization's distribution network through logistics efficiencies.

In another promotion, Sal Casas moved to V.P. and business manager, plastics and metals, after serving as business unit manager, plastics and metals. He holds a B.S. in business Administration from Roosevelt University and an MBA from DePaul University's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, concentrating in marketing in both degrees.

In other moves, Joe Monaca was hired as plastics product manager and Jeff Brown accepted as a position on the design engineering team. Monaco will be responsible for new product development, line extensions and other services. He has a BSEE degree from Ohio University and an MBA from Baldwin Wallace College. Brown will develop, design and test new products and modify or enhance existing products. With more than 15 years of engineering design experience, most of them in lighting, Brown has worked on downlight and wall-wash design, reflector development, and on a large number of HID and LED projects. He was most recently employed as an industrial designer for the Gotham Architectural line of Acuity Brands Lighting.

Service Wire Co. (Culloden, W Va.): Rick Mayday and Dave Dusl have joined the sales team. Mayday brings 25 years of sales experience and will work in the Phoenix office. He has worked for several electrical manufacturers. Dusl has several years of sales experience establishing global relationships with large chemical distributors. He will be managing accounts in the Arkansas, Kansas, western Missouri and Oklahoma territories. Dusl graduated from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

Carlo Gavazzi (Buffalo Grove, Ill.): David Bader is now national market development manager for the United States, where he will be responsible for developing the company's presence in the conventional energy and renewable energy market segments and the plastics/rubber industry. Additionally, he will be developing and refining business policies and strategy for the company's distributor sales channel. He most recently worked as the sales manager for a leading automation distributor in the Mid-Atlantic area. Prior to that, he worked as an area sales manager for a leading automation components manufacturer.

Ilsco (Cincinnati): Janice Middleton has been hired as product manager for the company's mechanical connector product offering. She comes to ILSCO from LSI where she was a product manager for architectural indoor lighting.
