Crescent Electric Supply (East Dubuque, IL): After 44 years with the company and to the industry, Jeff Corrick, president of Stoneway Electric Supply Co., will retire at the end of 2021. He began his career with Stoneway in 1977 and served in a variety of leadership roles before being appointed president in 2014.According to a post on LinkedIn, as part of this leadership transition, Chris Provo will be promoted to area VP and president of Stoneway Electric Supply.
Littelfuse (Des, Plaines, IL): Maggie Chu was appointed senior VP and chief human resources officer. She will report to Littelfuse President and CEO Dave Heinzmann and will be a member of the Littelfuse leadership team. Chu brings nearly 20 years of human resources leadership experience to Littelfuse, most recently as segment human resources director for Caterpillar’s Energy & Transportation segment and Corporate Services group.
Prior to Caterpillar, Ms. Chu’s 15-year career with General Electric included a number of global human resources executive business partner roles with increasing levels of responsibility within several of GE’s industrial businesses. She has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, and a master’s degree in human resources from the University of Minnesota.
American Lighting (Denver): This manufacturer of lighting products for residential, commercial and specialty projects added Xiaoguang Xiao and Megan Tepo to its LED product development team.
Xiao, American Lighting’s new product engineer, will lead product design and reviews and conduct extensive testing procedures to ensure design excellence. He will work in collaboration with the company’s quality control team to support the product inspection process and maintain constant oversight of global vendors. Prior to joining American Lighting, Xiao served as a mechanical engineer for the Johnson Electric Group and worked in research for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He focused on using IoT technologies to help improve energy efficiency in buildings, developing a people detection system, and designing indoor airflow monitoring systems.
As the new product manager at American Lighting, Tepo will be responsible for bringing the latest LED technology to market. Tepo, who was the prior manager of innovation marketing for Acuity’s Global business, also served as the development product portfolio manager, downlighting product manager and senior specifier sales manager. She was previously associate product manager for outdoor products and an optical engineer at Cooper Lighting.
Nora Lighting (Commerce, CA): The company appointed four new administrative staff members: James Gonzales, national accounts customer service; Shaleesha Johnson, quotations; Yoni Vera, IT manager; and Raymond Zambrano, technical support supervisor.
AMETEK Inc. (Berwyn, PA): The company’s board of directors elected Stewart Douglas as VP and chief information officer following the retirement of Ken Weirman who held the same position since joining AMETEK in 2010. Douglas joined AMETEK in 2007, serving as division VP of Businesses Systems for the Aerospace & Defense and Power divisions. Prior to joining AMETEK, Douglas served as IT director at Rohm and Haas; European IT manager at Shipley Europe; and European IT manager at ITT Cannon.
OBITUARY
Ian Merman, a marketing representative for Liteline Corp., the Toronto-based manufacturer of lighting equipment and a fixture in Canada’s electrical market, passed away on May 29, according to his obituary at www.paperman.com. A LinkedIn post by Mark Silverstein, Liteline’s principal, said he was part of the Liteline family for 22 years, and that, “He was known as the guy who would bring his beloved golden retriever, Homer, around on sales calls. He was infamous around the industry for flying his Montreal Canadians flag around from electrical distributor to electrical distributor, making banter, debating and ultimately laughing with his customers, who were more importantly his friends."
