EM’s Electrical Price Index (EPI) declined again in July, dropping a half percentage point from June and 0.6% year-over-year (YOY) from June 2014. Power Wire & Cable saw a particularly large drop of 4.1% (-4.8% YOY), while building wire added to the EPI’s decline with a 2% decline in June and a 2.3% decline YOY). Also supporting the downward trend were Telephone supplies (-1.5% MOM) and -5.2% YOY); and the Air Conditioners category, which dropped 1.4% in June and -4.2% YOY.
