Hubbell Beats Earnings Expectations on Non-Residential Growth in 1Q 2015

Hubbell Inc., Shelton, Conn., reported sales of just over $809 million in the first quarter of 2015, an increase of 7% on the same period last year, which David Nord, chairman, president and CEO, attributed to “notable strength in non-residential was partially offset by ongoing weakness in energy-related industries.” Electrical segment sales rose 6% and acquisitions added 4%.
