Touched base yesterday with Pete Comber, executive VP of Omni Cable, West Chester, Pa. Comber says the company's headquarters in suburban Philadelphia didn't feel the full impact of the storm as it passed through and that they didn't lose power. Omni has its computer system "mirrored" by another computer system out at its Denver branch that will kick in instaneously if it loses power.
Comber says the accuracy of the weather forecasts on the landfall of the storm helped some companies prepare for the storm but that no one could have expected this much damage.
