Philips Partners with Cisco, SAP and Bosch on Programmable Lighting

Philips Lighting announced three strategic partnerships to market network lighting systems using Philips networked lighting systems. The deals with Cisco, SAP and Bosch are not exclusive, but give Philips key allies in rolling out Internet of Things (IoT) connected solutions for office buildings, city infrastructure and home networks, respectively, Reuters reports.

The companies did not provide financial details of the partnerships and the deals are not exclusive. However, the tie-ups could enhance the prospects for Philips' lighting division as the Dutch group proceeds with plans to spin off the world's biggest lighting company next year to focus on its healthcare systems business.
