A number of reports today say Siemens is planning to leave the solar power market to others because it has failed to make the return-on-capital levels the company is requiring of its business units in the process of refocusing its operations on more profitable lines. The company reportedly is seeking a buyer for its solar operations, but will continue to build its wind and hydro power units.
