US Electrical Services, Middletown, CT, a subsidiary of Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED), has joined 43 electrical manufacturer brands, national distribution chains and other independent distributors in endorsing the POS Minimum Reporting Standards developed by the National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (NEMRA).
USESI, which is made up of 11 branded regions and a combined 124 locations, said distributors who operate central warehouses have a responsibility to share information that allow reps to be properly compensated for their work.
USESI is a member of IMARK Group, which has endorsed the NEMRA Minimum POS Reporting Standards and has encouraged its members to support the initiative.
Said Randy Eddy, president of USESI, “Manufacturer reps are important to us. They are the linchpin to many of our suppliers and are partners to us in supporting our customers. We share POS reporting with our suppliers to ensure that the reps that call on our branches are appropriately compensated. The NEMRA template will help us have a consistent process to deliver the critical information our suppliers need to report and compensate our reps. We do business with many of the 43 manufacturers who have currently endorsed the plan and we look forward to migrating to the NEMRA standard to support their reps and will be able to provide the information in this format in the near future.”
