Colonial Electric Supply, King of Prussia, Pa., gained its 25th counter location with the acquisition of Lighting Fixture & Supply, Allentown, Pa., a local lighting and electrical supply house serving the Lehigh Valley for over 50 years.

Lighting Fixture & Supply was founded in 1955 by Rolland Rodgers. Under Colonial ownership, the location at 1033 Sumner Ave. will support the local lighting, electrical, industrial and construction industries with products and services.

“Combining the six decades of LFS relationships with Colonial’s logistical competencies makes us together a much stronger force in the marketplace. But the real attraction for us came from their employees’ strong passion for customer service,” Steve Bellwoar, president of Colonial Electric Supply, said in a release.

The Allentown location will fall under the territory of John Rodman, V.P. of Colonial’s Western Region. “Colonial Electric continues to partner with distributors who provide their customers and employees a successful atmosphere to do business,” Rodman said. “The Rogers’ family has obviously done that for nearly 60 years. We look forward to extending the Colonial service area with the support of the LFS staff and customers.”

Colonial Electric’s 25 branch locations across Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and New York are served from the second-generation company’s 400,000-sq-ft customer service center at its King of Prussia headquarters.
