Jack Wells, the former chairman of the board of directors of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and current vice president of corporate development for Pass & Seymour/Legrand, has received NFPA’s most prestigious award, the Paul C. Lamb Award. The Paul C. Lamb Award honors members whose service to NFPA represents the height of voluntary spirit and deed. The Award was established in 1980 and is named for a man who dedicated 35 years of service to the NFPA.
With Wells’ NFPA leadership dating back to 1973 when he was appointed to the National Electrical Code (NEC) Code-Making Panel 18, Wells’ has been active in the NFPA ever since. He chaired the Electrical Equipment Maintenance Technical Committee from 1977 to 1979 and currently chairs the Advisory Committee on Adoption and Use of the National Electrical Code and related documents and the International Advisory Committee.
