SolarCity launches new software services for grid operators
Rooftop solar developer SolarCity, San Mateo, Calif., introduced a software platform and a new set of services for utility and grid operators. SolarCity’s new services include installation, financing, and consulting services for utility-scale solar and energy storage resource development, as well as advanced controls for demand response, distributed energy resources and aggregated grid services, the company said in a release. Utilities in Hawaii, Connecticut and southern California have helped SolarCity develop the systems via pilot projects.
