Christensen to Manage Lighting and Switchgear for Werner

Werner Electric (Cottage Grove, MN): John Christensen has joined the company as lighting and switchgear segment manager. Christensen comes to Werner from Acuity, where he was regional sales manager and regional director of construction solutions. He has also worked with Square D and GE.

“John brings over 20 years of construction and lighting experience at both local and factory levels,” Bob Cunningham, Werner’s director of construction, said in a release. “With John’s talent and vision, I am very excited about our future in delivering expertise, innovative solutions and an exceptional experience to our customers.”

Christensen is a lifelong resident of Minnesota.  Born and raised in the Twin Cities, he is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a BA in Speech Communications.  John and his wife,  Amy, reside in Edina, MN with their kids, Beck (16) and Lainey (13).  The family are avid snowboarders and skiers.  John also enjoys golf, is an avid concert goer and entertains himself and others as a drummer for several local bands.
