Hubbell Power Systems Acquires Cantega

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS), Columbia, SC, acquired Cantega Technologies, Edmonton, Alberta, and its associated brands, GreenJacket, Reliaguard and Cantega RTS on Dec. 9. Cantega joins the Hubbell Power Systems Group, led by Group President Allan Connolly. They will be part of the Power Systems Division led by Division President Mark Mikes.

Founded in 2001, Cantega is known for animal mitigation solutions and services that protect utility power lines and substations from birds and animals such as squirrels, raccoons and snakes. Cantega was founded in 2001 by Marty Niles, a power lineman with more than 25 years of experience in the electric utility industry. Today, Cantega’s products protect more than 700 substations across North America from animal-related outages. Cantega has locations in Alberta and Foothills Ranch, CA.
