All manufacturing and production assets will be relocated to Bridgeport’s manufacturing facilities in Stratford. Cor-Sheild's product lines include polymer-coated conduit and fittings, lighting poles and enclosures.

Bridgeport Fittings Inc., Stratford, Conn., announced the asset purchase of Cor-Shield, a supplier of environmentally safe polymer coated products. Terms were not disclosed.

Bridgeport said in a release that it will keep the Cor-Shield brand going. The purchase includes the Cor-Shield name, all rights to the use of the name, manufacturing and production equipment, drawings, trademarks, part numbers, third party listings, domain names and tools and dies associated with the manufacture and sale of Cor-Shield products.

All manufacturing and production assets will be relocated to Bridgeport’s manufacturing facilities in Stratford. Cor-Sheild's product lines include polymer-coated conduit and fittings, lighting poles and enclosures.

“The asset acquisition of Cor-Shield further strengthens our ability to serve the needs of our customers by offering a coating process for select products in environments that stress the need for corrosive protection,” said Paul Suzio, president and COO of Bridgeport. “Bridgeport will offer coated select fittings from its product offering as well as the capability of coating non-Bridgeport related products.”
