Osram forms captive business accelerator Fluxunit

Fluxunit will serve as the central point of contact for external and internal start-ups. On a functional level, the incubator, based in Munich, Germany, will work closely with Osram’s Innovation and Strategy Department.

Osram announced the launch of a “captive business accelerator” to encourage innovative internal and external ideas, dubbed Fluxunit GmbH. Envisioned as a flexible company unit outside its established structures that will promote new and disruptive business ideas, Fluxunit will serve as the central point of contact for external and internal start-ups. On a functional level, the incubator, based in Munich, Germany, will work closely with Osram’s Innovation and Strategy Department.

“Osram aims to be the leading provider of digital and connected lighting solutions. With the help of Fluxunit, we will pro-mote and fuel breakthrough ideas while also bolstering our leading position in the lighting market through the introduction of innovations”, said Stefan Kampmann, CTO of OSRAM Licht AG.
