Brook Electrical Acquires Platinum Electrical Supply
Brook Electrical Supply, Chicago, has purchased Platinum Electrical Supply, a one-location electrical distributor based in Streamwood, Ill.
Platinum Electric Supply, founded in 1994, is a family-owned and operated business that serves residential, industrial and commercial contractors. Owners Joe and Judy Galambos, their son Mike Galambos and all of the Platinum associates will join the Brook, Sonepar USA team. A Brook Electrical release said the Galambos family brings over 30 years of contracting and distribution business experience to Brook.
Brook said the acquisition is part of a strategic commitment to create branch locations in areas that best serve the needs of its customers, and demonstrates the ongoing commitment of Brook and Sonepar USA to strengthen its position within the electrical construction, commercial and industrial markets in Chicago.
Brook has been in business for over 85 years and was acquired by Sonepar in 2000.
