K/E rocks Detroit’s Filmore at 50/25 anniversary event

K/E Electric Supply formally celebrated its 50/25 Anniversary at The Fillmore Detroit in grand fashion on Jan. 12th. More than five hundred guests attended the semi-formal event, including customers, employees and vendors. In addition to having a great time at the Caribbean-themed party complete with a steel drum band and stage show performed by the Detroit Flyhouse, a Caribbean acrobatic demonstration not unlike Vegas’ “Cirque du Soleil,” guests learned about the company’s history from a series of story boards set up at the opening cocktail party. The storyboards included photos of the founder Wayne Kuchenmeister delivering electrical supplies at the front of the original 1962 wood building.

At the event, Rock Kuchenmeister, K/E’s president/CEO, also awarded four 10-year and three 20-year employee anniversary gifts, and all guests learned about the company’s new travel promotion, Cruise 50/25,” which will be embarking Feb. 2014.
