Sonepar announces plans to buy British VDV specialist

Mayflex is, according the Sonepar release, one of the leading UK specialists of data communications products related to converged IP solutions. The company stocks infrastructure, networking and security products and serves installers, integrators, specifiers and resellers.

Sonepar said Mayflex Holdings has joined the company in the UK, subject to approval from the antitrust authorities in Austria that’s expected to be given within four weeks, according to a press release on the company’s website.

Founded in 1917 and headquartered in Birmingham, Mayflex is, according the Sonepar release, one of the leading UK specialists of data communications products related to converged IP solutions. The company stocks infrastructure, networking and security products and serves installers, integrators, specifiers and resellers. The company has 213 employees, (mainly in the UK), with three branches. It also has a location in Dubaï, United Arab Emirates, to support Middle East and African customers. It had sales of €150 million (approximately $162.3 million) in the fiscal year ending March 2015.
