Siemens gets $300 million order for gas-fired power plant in Texas

Siemens has been awarded an order for the turnkey supply of the Panda Temple II power plant in Temple, Texas. Siemens will supply the 758MW natural-gas-fired combined-cycle power plant in consortium with its partner, Bechtel. Once completed by the end of 2015, it will be able to supply the power needs of approximately 750,000 homes in central Texas. The order volume including a long-term service agreement is approximately $300 million.
