McNaughton-McKay, Madison Heights, Mich., and its largest vendor, Rockwell Automation, won Rolls-Royce’s Sector Supplier of the Year Award at a recent awards ceremony in Frankfurt, Germany.

“The Rolls-Royce Supplier of the Year awards recognize the contribution and continuous commitment of strategic partners and suppliers to supporting the Rolls-Royce supply chain strategy and, ultimately, the performance of our product range. We congratulate McNaughton-McKay for jointly winning this award with Rockwell Automation and look forward to continuing our successful relationship,” said Mike Orris, chief procurement officer, Rolls-Royce plc.

McNaughton-McKay and Rockwell inked a long-term agreement with Rolls-Royce Energy Systems Inc. in June 2007. The deal made McNaughton-McKay the primary supplier of control products and as a direct result made Rolls-Royce one of McNaughton-McKay’s largest customers corporately.

McNaughton-McKay strengthened its global capabilities as a supplier to the automobile industry in Germany and throughout Europe with its September 2007 purchase of S&D, Wegberg, Germany, which at that time was the largest Rockwell Automation distributor in Germany. S&D is a now a 100 percent subsidiary of McNaughton-McKay and is a full-line Rockwell Automation distributor with sales offices in central and southern Germany.
