Philips Lighting and Xiaomi partner on smart lighting for China market
Philips Lighting and mobile internet company Xiaomi are teaming up to create connected LED lighting units built for Xiaomi’s wireless smart home platform, with Android and iOS smartphone apps to control the lights.
“In the coming months, Xiaomi customers using its smart home ecosystem will be able to choose from an even broader family of well-designed connected LED luminaires that work flawlessly on the Xiaomi platform,” John Wang, Philips Lighting market leader for Greater China, said in a statement.
The products will be sold through Xiaomi, which is already selling some Philips smart LED lighting.
