Rensselaer Researchers Say LEDs Can Save A Trillion Bucks Over Next 10 years

Two professors at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’ Smart Lighting Engineering Resource Center said in an EE Times article that LEDs will revolutionize the lighting world. "What the transistor meant to the development of electronics, the LED means to the field of photonics," said Fred Schubert and Jong Kyu Kim. "This core device has the potential to revolutionize how we use light."
