    Electrical Price Index Drops 0.4% in June

    EM’s Electrical Price Index (EPI) dropped 0.4% in June but is up 3.5% over June 2009. Products that dropped more than one percent were building wire (-1.9%); and telephone (-1.2%)

    EM’s Electrical Price Index (EPI) dropped 0.4% in June but is up 3.5% over June 2009. Products that dropped more than one percent were building wire (-1.9%); and telephone (-1.2%). The biggest increases YTY were power cable (+19.1%); building wire (+13.6%); telephone (+5.5%); motors (3.7%); panelboards & switches (+3.4%); circuit breakers (+3.4%) and industrial controls (+3.4%).
