Lighting Science Group to supply NASA lighting for space exploration

Lighting Science Group, Satellite Beach, Fla., signed a two-year deal last week with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to jointly develop LED lighting fixtures for use in space exploration. The agreement calls for development of a lighting fixture prototype that provides high illumination and good color rendering while meeting the unique demands of space equipment and space travel including control, vibration, off-gassing and electromagnetic interference.
