August EPI Index Increases +1.1% Over July

Sept. 24, 2020
The August data showed some big pricing movements in several product areas.

Electrical Marketing’s Electrical Price Index (EPI) generally moves in small month-to-month increments. That wasn’t the case last month, as the August EPI increased +1.1% over July and +1.4% over Aug. 2019. Increases were widespread, with prices in nine different categories rising more than +1%. Wire and cable, boxes, nonmetallic conduit and conduit fitting were the two product groups showing the most change.
