West Virginia’s Marshall University Lewis College of Business will proudly welcome Louis Weisberg (in photo) as a 2026 Hall of Fame inductee — honoring his leadership, innovation and lasting impact across the state of West Virginia.
As president & CEO of Service Wire Co., Weisberg has driven growth and innovation for over three decades, according to the press release. Under his leadership, Service Wire built three manufacturing facilities in Culloden, WV; Houston, TX; and Phoenix, AZ — delivering quality, safety and service that have kept this third-generation family business thriving for more than 50 years.
The press release said Weisberg’s commitment goes beyond business. He champions continuous investment in technology, employee development and community impact. At Service Wire, family and mentorship are in the DNA — 25% of team members work alongside relatives, creating a multi-generational culture grounded in collaboration, loyalty and service.

Nate Tallman was promoted to chief operating officer. He joined Metro Wire in 2012 and has since held progressive senior leadership roles, playing an integral role in the company’s growth, operations and market expansion. His deep knowledge of the wire and cable distribution industry, coupled with a strong commitment to customer relationships and team development, positions him well to help lead the organization into its next phase of growth.

Hammond Power Solutions (Guelph, Ontario)

This manufacturer of dry-type transformers and power quality solutions added Iralynn Rumbaoa and Shayne Welch to its Technical Solutions team. These additions strengthen HPS’ ability to provide consultative technical support and innovative solutions to customers across North America.
Rumbaoa joins Hammond Power Solutions as technical solutions consultant for the western United States. She brings more than 16 years of experience in electrical and industrial markets, including roles at Schneider Electric, ABB and Killark Electric (Hubbell). Welch joins Hammond Power Solutions as technical solutions consultant, Canada. With more than 30 years of experience in the electrical industry, including 25 years with Hammond Power Solutions, he brings deep knowledge of HPS products and strong customer relationships.

 

Generac (Waukesha, WI)

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) announced that Aaron Jagdfeld, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Generac, has been named to the NAM board of directors. Jagdfeld will join the NAM board to bolster the association’s leadership in policy advocacy, legal action, workforce solutions and operational excellence. He will help the industry advance a manufacturing competitiveness agenda that promotes opportunity and prosperity for all Americans.

 

Obituary

Stanion Wholesale Electric’s Mike Romme, one of the best-known electrical executives in the Kansas/Kansas City area electrical market, passed away on March 4 in his hometown of Kingman, KS. Romme was born on Nov. 8, 1966, in Junction City, KS. He was the son of Donald Michael and Drusilla Brantley Romme.
Romme was VP of vendor relations for Stanion Wholesale Electric Co., Pratt, KS. According to his obituary, “Mike lived a life anchored in faith and service. He was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, and he proudly served on the board of he South Central Community Foundation. He also dedicated time volunteering with the Kansas Special Olympics, where he brought encouragement, compassion and positivity to every athlete he met. His college years with the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity gave him friendships and memories he cherished throughout his life.
“Mike was also a passionate sports fan. He proudly cheered for his beloved Kansas State Wildcats, and he was an unwavering supporter of Kingman athletics. You could always find him on the front row of Kingman Eagle football, basketball and baseball games, cheering, encouraging the players and supporting the community he loved so much. Mike had a special gift for guiding and inspiring young people. He loved coaching youth football and poured his heart into helping kids learn the game, gain confidence, and feel supported.”
