Promotions at Mars Electric in Ohio.

Mars Electric (Cleveland): The company recently announced several major promotions on its executive team. Michael Doris  (photo above) is now president; Michael Mammone is senior VP of sales; and Andrew Doris is now VP of business development.

Andrew Doris started working for Mars Electric part-time in 2006 restocking products and labeling shelves. He joined the company full-time in 2015 and was charged with learning all facets of the business in his roles in the warehouse and at branches. Prior to his career at Mars Electric, he was an IT recruiter at Direct Recruiters.

Michael Mammone joined Mars Electric in 2013 as sales manager. He held financial analyst and product line engineer and sales engineer positions at Eaton for 13 prior to joining Mars Electric.

Sonepar USA (Charleston, SC): Cory McCulloch has been named as president of North Coast Electric. He has been with the company for 35 years, previously serving as executive VP. McCulloch began his electrical career at North Coast Electric as a truck driver and worked his way up through the business, eventually working in almost every position at the company, he said in the press release.

“I am committed to implementing our 10-year plan and continuing to steward North Coast to an even brighter future,” he added.

McCulloch’s promotion coincides with Mike Miller’s decision to step down as president but to remain active in the business by managing a key project. Miller will assume the role of senior VP, customer distribution network, and will lead the creation of a new central distribution center in Washington state.

Cerrowire (Hartselle, AL): This copper building wire manufacturer recently made two major promotions. Toby Robin steps into the role of VP of sales and marketing, providing strategic direction to both the electrical distribution and retail distribution channels, and Chris Marlow was recently promoted to VP of electrical distribution.

Robin joined Cerrowire in 2014 as the business development manager for the eastern U.S. In his new role leading the sales and marketing organization, he will continue to create avenues for developing successful business relationships with Cerrowire’s customers. Marlow joined Cerrowire as the director of strategic accounts for the electrical distribution channel in 2020. He has 19 years of experience in the electrical manufacturing arena in sales and business development roles.

IM Supply /IMARK Group (Dallas): This provider of electrical and lighting MRO products for multi-site industrial firms announced major changes to its executive leadership team. Patrick Knight was appointed president of IM Supply and Tom Forshee was hired as vice president of sales.

Knight previously had leadership posts at buying groups OMNIA Partners and Prime Advantage. He also held positions at Vanguard National Alliance and SupplyForce for a short time after their merger. Forshee joins IM Supply with more than 22 years of experience in national account sales, e-commerce and facilities management. His prior electrical industry experience includes sales and account management positions with Signify, as well as national account management at Rexel USA.

Industry Data Exchange Association (IDEA) (Arlington, VA): The association recently announced its 2021 board of directors. Brian DiBella will serve as the board chair for the coming year. He is president of Electrical Wiring Systems at Legrand North America, and brings technology experience from previously serving as Legrand’s CIO, where he was responsible for its global data network. Other industry executives on the 2021 IDEA board of directors or serving as IDEA officers are:

IDEA’s 2021 board of directors will continue to advise the association on its mission to facilitate the exchange of complete, high-quality, commercial-grade transactional and e-commerce content for the electrical industry. IDEA’s upcoming initiatives include increasing product content quantity, improving data quality, simplifying data management and reporting, and setting, facilitating and monitoring data standards.

In other news at IDEA, Dena Barrett is the new director of customer services. Before joining the association, she most recently served as a digital enablement manager at Panduit, and as a senior digital merchandiser at W.W. Grainger.

Teron Lighting (Fairfield, OH): Scott Manley, formerly with FC Lighting Group, LSI and Hubbell, will assume the role of CEO

American Trucking Associations (ATA) (Arlington, VA): Former NAED staffer Brian Peters recently joined ATA as regional VP-Midwest. He will be responsible for member engagement and recruitment for the Midwestern states of ATA. Prior to coming to ATA, he spent more than 10 years as Eastern region manager, membership director, and strategic partnerships manager for the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED).
