Obituary: Jim Zimmerman of Buckles-Smith Electric

Jim Zimmerman, 87, former owner of Buckles-Smith Electric Co., San Jose, Calif., passed away on July 22 at his home in Pleasanton with his family by his side.  Zimmerman became an owner of Buckles-Smith in 1959 and helping to lead the organization through many of its early transformations as the Santa Clara Valley evolved into the Silicon Valley. He is survived by his wife Pauline, daughter Janice, and son Ron, materials manager for  Buckles-Smith.

In his memory, the Zimmerman family is requesting donations to the non-profit organization, Young Life, in lieu of flowers. Young Life is a global organization dedicated to the outreach, development and leadership of young people in local communities.
