Slomka to lead Global Human Resources for Ideal Industries
Toolmaker Ideal Industries, Sycamore, Ill., named Vicki Slomka as Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources.
Slomka will lead the company's worldwide human resources organization across all Ideal business units and its 1,200 employees. Her responsibilities include overseeing the development and execution of human resource policies, programs and services, as well as global employee relations, compensation, recruitment and retention and succession planning. In addition, she will lead in the development of long range HR strategies and goals critical to the company's success.
Since 2008, Slomka has been chief human resources officer for Elkay Manufacturing, a worldwide manufacturer of cabinets, sinks, faucets, water coolers and bottle filling stations. Prior to joining Elkay, from 1999 to 2008, she served as group VP of Human Resources at Newell Rubbermaid. Earlier, she was human resources manager for Moen Incorporated and Waldorf Corporation. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from the University of Illinois in Chicago.
