An AP report said Denmark's Vestas Wind Systems A/S, the world's biggest maker of wind turbines as measured by revenue, plans to layoff 2,335 people worldwide. The report says Vestas warned that "an additional 1,600 jobs in the U.S. could be at risk if Congress doesn't extend tax breaks for renewable energy." Vestas has four manufacturing facilities in Colorado and a U.S. headquarters in Portland, Ore.
