EYE Lighting International of North America, Mentor, Ohio, has acquired all assets related to the LED luminaire products from Aphos Lighting of Carrollton, Texas. The purchase price was not disclosed. EYE will assume production of Aphos brand LED luminaires in its own facility and market the products under the EYE Lighting brand name. EYE Lighting entered the LED luminaire market in 2011 with the introduction of kíaroLED, which has since earned a number of awards and accolades in the lighting industry.

Tom Salpietra, president and chief operating officer of EYE said in the press release announcing the acquisition, “Along with our fast-growing kíaroLED outdoor LED luminaire family, the Aphos product line creates greater scale for our business and strengthens our position and penetration in the fast-growing LED market.”
