Many companies are timing product launches with the biggest trade show of the year in the photovoltaics industry -- SolarPower 2010, being held this week in Los Angeles. GE announced several additions to its growing portfolio of technologically advanced solar products and services. Working PrimeStar Solar, Inc., Arvada, Colo., GE will make thin-film-PV panels commercially available in 2011. A GE press release also highlighted its offering of PV inverters, utility-grade solutions and said the company had invested more than $1 billion in its renewable business. GE Energy, Atlanta, has nearly 85,000 global employees and reported 2009 revenues of $37 billion. Details
