Eric Spiegel, CEO of Siemens Corp., the U.S. division of Siemens, has been all over the general business press for the past week talking about his intention to double the company's $1 billion revenues from the U.S. federal government by 2015. Spiegel came to Siemens at the beginning of this year from Booz Allen Hamilton, where he worked extensively on federal contracts, and is moving the company's U.S. headquarters to Washington, D.C. He sees big opportunities in the government's interest in several of Siemens' core areas, including energy efficiency and health care.
