Van Meter Bolsters Business in Power Transmission Products with Investment in IDC-USA

Van Meter Industrial, Waterloo, Iowa, has invested in IDC-USA, a member-owned purchasing and national marketing cooperative of distributors in the industrial bearing and power transmission markets. The move will give Van Meter Industrial access to a 200,000 power and transmission products, bearing and related supplies from a network of 65 suppliers, according to a Dec. 11 report published in the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. On its website, IDC-USA says it has 200 independent distribution as members. Van Meter was ranked #33 on Electrical Wholesaling's 2009 listing of the Top 200 Electrial Distributors.
