Barbara Ann “BJ” Twehues, 80, of Fort Thomas, Ky., passed away on Nov. 12. Barbara was the wife of Tom Twehues, the former president of Essex Wire & Cable and one of the first recipients of NAED’s Manufacturer Award. According to her obituary at www.legacy.com, she was for many years a fifth-grade school teacher in Milford, Ohio, and Walnut Creek, Calif., and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and several country clubs, and enjoyed driving her sports cars, golf, tennis and bowling. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Julien, and mother, Anne Julien. Barbara is survived by her husband, Thomas Twehues; son, Stephen (Julie) Twehues of Ft. Thomas; sister, Nancy Fleck of Orleans, Mass., and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
