New leadership appointments at EGS Electrical; MacDonald named VP of the Southeast at Werner Electric Supply; Butchko named VP at Greenlee, and more!

EGS Electrical Group, (Rosemont, Ill.): The company made several senior-level promotions across its brands.

Andy Schwegel has been promoted to V.P. and general manager of SolaHD and Heating Cable Systems. Schwegel joined Emerson in 2002 and has 20-plus years of industry experience working for Eaton Corp., W.W. Grainger, and as a management consultant serving clients in the electrical industry at The Chicago Group, Inc.

Jim Anderson has been promoted to V.P. of ECM Engineering and Product Development. He has been with EGS for 14 years, holding positions with increasing responsibilities within the Engineering Group since 2001.

Kerry Nedic has been promoted to V.P. of marketing, where she will continue to be in charge of pricing and technical support and will pick up responsibility for marketing communications and eBusiness. Nedic started working at EGS in 2002 as an O-Z/Gedney quotations specialist and has held various positions within the pricing organization.

Dan Douglass has been promoted to V.P. of business development and will be responsible for growth at EGS in existing markets as well as programs in new geographies, industries and product segments. He will have responsibility for customer support and the newly created strategic sales team.

Humberto Nunez will be taking on the new role of director of business development. In this position he will work on managing the various growth programs across EGS and lead specific development efforts in Mexico, Brazil and the rest of Latin America. He began his career at Emerson in 2008 working on strategic planning initiatives for Emerson Latin America as a business development manager. Nunez joined EGS in 2010 as the Latin America sales director and oversaw the expansion of our sales presence throughout the region. He has an undergraduate degree from Universidad de Lima in Peru and an MBA from Texas A&M University.

Diane Fleming has been promoted to director of global customer support. Fleming will have responsibility for EGS global customer support organization in Rosemont, Manila, Mexico City, and Canada, sharing best practices across the other EGS customer support organizations.

Heather Green has been promoted to director of strategic sales. In this new role, she will be responsible for project pursuit, project execution, customer development, and S&OP planning. Green joined EGS in 2012 as a business development manager supporting global project pursuit and strategic planning.

Hernán Solís has been promoted to director of sales for Northern Latin America (NOLA). Solís has been with EGS for three years and was part of its global accounts team. His work centered around building relationships with EPCs, IOCs and NOCs in Latin America with great success. Prior to joining EGS, he worked for Pentair (Hoffman) for 10 years in ascending relationship management and sales roles.

Brian Thompson has been promoted to director of finance. In his new role, he is responsible for EGS global financial planning and analysis. He will also coordinate and deliver the financial reporting requirements to Emerson corporate.

Electri-Flex Co. (Roselle, Ill.): Greg Raptis is now managing director–international sales. In this newly-created position, he will manage an international agent network, develop new customer prospects and work with existing direct customers. Raptis has extensive experience in the electrical industry, including positions with Essex, Reelcraft, Cerro and, most recently, Anamet.

Werner Electric Supply (Neenah, Wis.): Terry MacDonald is now V.P. for the company’s Southeastern Region. He started with Werner as an inventory control manager 27 years ago and since then has cultivated construction sales in the Neenah branch, managed the salesman strategies for the Upper Peninsula, and drove the creation of the Werner Electric’s branch in Iron Mountain, Mich. He was promoted to contractor sales manager in 1991, director of commercial and contract sales, and V.P. in Feb. 2013. In his new position he will be responsible for growing sales at the Pewaukee, Kenosha and Sheboygan branches, and will report to Scott Teerlinck, company president. Werner Electric Supply has 11 locations throughout Wisconsin and Upper Michigan; employs more than 350 employees; and has annual sales of more than $226 million.

Rexel SA (Paris): The company’s board has appointed Pier Luigi Sigismondi as a member of its supervisory board. He replaces Françoise Gri, who has stepped down from the supervisory board to reduce her number of directorships.

Sigismondi has been a member of Unilever’s executive board and has served as the company’s chief supply chain officer since 2009. Prior to that he worked for Nestlé SA, where he was V.P. of corporate operations strategies, based in Switzerland, in charge of industrial strategies of the group worldwide as well as management of global cost improvement programs before moving to Nestlé Mexico in 2005 as V.P. of operations and R&D. He started his career in consulting, first with Booz Allen & Hamilton and later with AT Kearney. An Italian national, he holds a masters degree in industrial and systems engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Greenlee Communications (Rockford, Ill.): Jason Butchko is now V.P. and general manager, and Roger Clitheroe is global sales director. Butchko holds over 10 years of leadership experience in the test and measurement instrumentation field, most recently with Ideal Industries–Networks. He joined Greenlee Communications in Jan. 2013.

Clitheroe has been with Greenlee since 2001 and holds over 20 years of communications sales experience. In his new role, he will be responsible for worldwide sales of Greenlee Communications products, driving global accountability for new product introductions, overseeing new market developments and achieving profitable revenue growth across the product portfolio. The Greenlee Communications sales team in the United Kingdom and the United States will report to Clitheroe and he will report to Butchko.

Border States Electric (Fargo, N.D.): Gary Daniel has been named South Central region manager for Border States Electric (BSE). He joined BSE in 2010 as an alliance manager in the company’s Amarillo, Texas, location and was promoted to South Central and Southwest region utility sales manager in 2012.

In his new position, Daniel will be located in the company’s Lubbock, Texas, location. He will focus on growing relationships with BSE’s current customers and expanding sales for the company’s South Central region, which consists of 13 locations. Daniel is a graduate of Wayland Baptist University, Lubbock, Texas, where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA in management.
