The company’s new 12-story building, called South Point, will open in mid-2021.

General Electric Co. has pushed back the expected opening of its new headquarters in Boston by two years after deciding to break the project into two phases, said The Boston Globe, citing a memo to Boston GE employees from GE VP Ann Klee. The company’s new 12-story building, called South Point, will open in mid-2021. Two older brick buildings will be renovated first and are expected to open in 2019.
