15 Graybar branches get EnergyStar certification

Graybar moved to expand its Graybar PowerSmart platform and 15 of its locations have been recognized with the EnergyStar designation.

Graybar moved to expand its Graybar PowerSmart platform to offer both energy-efficient products and sustainable solutions to its customers. Regional Graybar PowerSmart teams have been formed to help customers save money by reducing energy usage, and the company launched a monthly electronic newsletter to provide news and industry trends on energy efficiency and building intelligence.

Graybar also said 15 of its branches have been recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with EnergyStar certification for buildings that meet certain energy-efficiency performance levels and rank in the top 25% of similar facilities nationwide. Graybar locations in Green Bay, Wis.; Norcross, Ga.; Portland, Ore.; San Diego; Austell, Ga.; Joliet, Ill.; Stafford, Texas; Youngstown, Ohio; Billings, Mont.; Columbia, S.C.; Pittsburgh; Providence, R.I.; Tucson, Ariz.; Duluth, Minn.; and the company’s corporate headquarters in St. Louis earned EnergyStar certification. Graybar’s Tucson branch was awarded LEED gold certification in 2012.
