Woodbridge Group, a mergers-and-acquisitions firm in New Haven, Conn., announced the sale of its client ICON International, a manufacturer of architectural lighting, to Endo Lighting Corp., Osaka, Japan. In business for over 60 years, ICON makes and markets lighting systems for retailers, supermarkets, healthcare, transportation, municipal and commercial environments.

“Endo is the perfect match for ICON, bringing their LED technology and expertise in all phases of commercial and industrial lighting to the outstanding ICON team,” said Michael Goeller, president of ICON International.

With the Japanese yen at an all-time high against the U.S. dollar, Woodbridge Group said in a release that it expects to see more cross-border deal closings this year involving Japanese and U.S. companies.
