Rockwell Automation Inc., Milwaukee, said its quarterly income grew to $133.4 million from $62.2 million a year ago.
Sales rose 20 percent to $1.18 billion from $990.3 million last year. Rockwell Automation saw a 19 percent increase in control systems sales and a 24 percent increase in power systems sales.
Keith Nosbusch, president and chief executive officer, said, “Our businesses again produced excellent results in a steadily improving industrial economy, particularly in the United States.”
