GE plans to open an advanced manufacturing technology and software center in Van Buren, Mich., according to a report in Albany’s Business Review

GEplans to open an advanced manufacturing technology and software center in Van Buren, Mich., according to a report in Albany’s Business Review. The center will include a $100-million research and development facility and is expected to eventually employ 1,100 workers. The scientists and engineers at the center will develop future manufacturing technologies for GE’s renewable energy, aircraft engines, gas turbines and other high-tech products.
