Baldor Electric to expand plant in western North Carolina

According to an AP report, Baldor Electric’s $5 million plant expansion in Weaverville, N.C., will add 32 jobs over the next three years. The company received a $64,000 grant from the state. Baldor has 26 plants in the United States, Canada, England, Mexico and China. Three of its plants are in North Carolina and employ nearly 700 people.
