WESCO Distribution Inc. has donated $100,000 to the NAED Education & Research Foundation.
With headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pa., WESCO has $3.29 billion in sales, and is one of the nation’s largest electrical distributors with 5,200 employees and 350 branches. The donation will become part of an endowment fund for the NAED Education & Research Foundation.
“We are pleased to commit support for the NAED Education & Research Foundation. We believe in the opportunities of the future, and our company looks forward to being an active participant in the selection of programs and activities for the Foundation,” said Roy Haley, chairman and CEO for WESCO.
The principal amount of the endowments will remain untouched, while the interest will be used to commission future projects and studies. As a $100,000 donor, WESCO will have a permanent position on the Channel Advantage Partnership Council, which will help select future educational programs and research projects.
