Lutron Electronics Co., Coopersburg, Pa., will create at least 500 new jobs within five years by expanding its Pennsylvania operations. Lutron plans to improve its Upper Saucon Township campus with the construction of a new 250,000-square-foot office building, a separate 20,000 square-foot expansion to the product evaluation building and an 850-space parking deck.
Many of the jobs that are being created by Lutron are high-skilled, engineering and technical jobs, which will result in additional warehousing and manufacturing positions, Lutron said.
The company plans to start construction next spring and finish the work in the summer or fall of 2008. Lutron secured $4.2 million in state aid for the project.
