Ferraz Shawmut (Newburyport, Mass.): Fred Rampone has been promoted to vice president, distributor sales, and Stephen Reynolds to vice president, strategic accounts. Rampone will manage the regional management team and distributor sales within the United States. He has been with Ferraz Shawmut for more than 13 years, holding the positions of regional OEM development manager, regional sales manager and regional vice president. Prior to joining the company, he held positions with Powell Electrical Manufacturing Co. and G&W Electric. Reynolds will manage the deployment of corporate-wide resources to provide product and service solutions to strategic accounts. Reynolds joined Ferraz Shawmut 12 years ago as a direct salesman in Georgia and worked his way through the ranks as a southeast district manager, manager of strategic accounts, and now vice president of strategic accounts. Prior to joining the company, he was a marketing manager with Kearney and a field service engineering manager with GE-Hitachi.
Grainger (Chicago): Court Carruthers has been named to a newly created position as president of Grainger's international businesses in Canada (Acklands-Grainger Inc.), Mexico (Grainger S.A. de C.V.), and China. Carruthers' new responsibilities include growing and improving Grainger's international business operations, which had sales of more than $800 million in 2008. Carruthers joined Acklands-Grainger in 2002 as vice president, national accounts and sales, where he has been responsible for the company's sales strategy and operations. He was promoted to his current position in 2006, and successfully grew sales at the Canadian business by almost 30 percent and operating earnings by more than 250 percent.
Platt Electric Supply Inc. (Beaverton, Ore.): Wally Shelton has been appointed regional vice president, Western Washington region. Shelton will be responsible for all Platt sales and branch operations from the Canadian border to Lewis County and east to Ellensburg. Currently this geography encompasses 20 Platt locations and six marketing divisions. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Shelton is a native of the Puget Sound region. During his 10 years at Platt, his jobs have included industrial sales, industrial sales manager, construction sales manager, and vice president.
Leviton Manufacturing Co. (Little Neck, N.Y.): Mike Domokos has been appointed Western regional sales manager for the company's Lighting Management Systems business. In his new role, Domokos will lead the Western region sales team and work with the company's agents, distribution sales professionals and end-user customers to provide sales and marketing support. He will also provide training and specification expertise in the area of commercial lighting and energy management. Domokos has over 25 years of experience leading and directing sales and management activities for companies in the electrical and lighting markets.
Charlie Bogolawski has been appointed director of technical sales for Leviton's Network Solutions business. In his new post, Bogolawski will lead a team of specification engineers and technical sales personnel in providing customer solutions. He will also spearhead initiatives in technical training, sales tools development and customer demonstrations.Bogolawski began his career at Leviton in 2005 as a specification engineer in the data communications industry. Prior to joining Leviton, Bogolawski held positions as a regional sales manager for a manufacturers' rep firm, a national accounts manager for ComNet Communications, and as a systems integrator selling SMAT/CATV installations and services.
