David Jae, founder of the manufacturers’ rep firm David Jae & Co. Inc. of Mt. Vernon, N.Y., died Jan. 28. He was 92 years old. Jae founded the manufacturers’ representative firm David Jae & Co. in 1957 and remained a vital part of the business until just prior to his passing. He was an active participant in the electrical industry and was a founding member of the National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (NEMRA) in 1969. He served as the association’s first chairman (then president) from 1970 to 1972.
He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Sophie, in 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Estelle Dariani; son, Joel; and grandchildren, Samareh and David.
